Branding that sits on the furniture, not only on the shade
Umbrella branding is a print on cloth. Furniture branding is a different problem: the mark has to sit on a welded aluminium frame, on a cushion that is sat on every day, on a wood or stone table top, and on the label inside the cover. Twenty of the twenty-five furniture models we make are quoted with custom size, colour and logo, and the marking is planned at the same time as the frame colour and the cushion fabric so the finished set reads as one scheme.

Four surfaces, and what each one asks of you
Each surface takes a different marking method, and each one asks something different of the buyer. Send all four in one enquiry and they are quoted and produced together.
The nameplate and the woven labelA brushed metal plate inset into the frame, and a woven label sewn into the cushion edge. Both are supplied blank and marked to your artwork
Cushion fabric and colourThe largest branded surface on a furniture order. Cushion fabric is chosen first, because the frame and the label are matched to it
Frame colour and finishPowder coated aluminium or steel. A mark can be applied to the frame, or the frame can simply be matched to the colour you already use
Weave and table topsRope weave, wood-grain and stone-look surfaces. These decide what a mark can be applied to on the table itself
Where a mark can sit on each piece
Six positions cover almost every furniture branding brief we receive. Which of them you use depends on how visible the mark has to be, and on whether the piece is handled by guests.
Which furniture models take branding

How a branded furniture order is made
Marking a frame is not the same job as printing cloth, so the approvals run in a fixed order. Approve the colour first, then the marking drawing, then a sample piece.
1. Send artwork and the piece list
Vector logo, the colour reference and the pieces you want marked. Tell us which surfaces, and whether the mark is seen by guests or only by staff.
2. Approve the marking drawing
We return a drawing with the position and size on each piece, plus a powder coat and fabric lab dip for approval.
3. Approve the sample piece
One piece is built to the approved drawing in your frame colour and cushion fabric, so the mark is judged on the real surface.
4. Production, inspection and loading
The container plan is confirmed with the quotation, production runs, and the goods are inspected and photographed before loading.
Do and avoid
Approving a colour from a screen. Monitors vary and both powder coat and fabric shift a tone, so check the lab dip on a real sample.
Adding the mark after the container plan is fixed. It changes the carton and the label, and both sit inside the loading plan.
Send vector artwork and a colour reference, plus the piece list you want marked, in one enquiry.
Keep the approved lab dip and the marking drawing on file so a repeat order matches the first batch.
What a branded piece has to survive
Outdoor furniture is sat on, dragged across a terrace and left outside. Three things decide whether a mark still looks right in the third season.
The frame
Frames on this range are powder coated aluminium or steel. EN 581-1:2017, EN 581-2:2015 and EN 581-3:2017, the European standard for outdoor seating and tables, cover the safety and durability testing of the range, and the same frame carries the nameplate and any frame marking.
The cushion
The cushion takes the most wear, which is why the cover is where a guest-facing mark usually goes. Covers on the teak-arm and corner sets are removable, so a marked cover can be taken off, cleaned or replaced without replacing the piece. Wash with lukewarm water and a mild soap, never a pressure washer or a solvent, and let the cover dry fully before it is stored.
Matching the next order
Approve the marking drawing and the lab dip, and keep both on file. A repeat order placed against the same drawing and the same dip matches the first batch, which matters when a second terrace is furnished two years after the first.
Minimum order and lead time for a branded furniture order
For furniture the minimum is set by the container rather than by the marking. Our minimum order is normally one 40HQ container, and on several lines the figure works out exactly to that.
| Model | Loading | Minimum |
|---|---|---|
| FHSF001 corner sofa set | 56 sets per 40HQ | 56 sets |
| FHSF233 6-piece corner set | 26 sets per 40HQ | 52 sets, two loadings |
| FHCH057 adjustable back armchair | 360 chairs per 40HQ | 360 chairs |
| FHTB068 extendable dining table | 160 tables per 40HQ | 160 tables |
| FHCH073-A1 dining chair | six pieces per carton | 350 pcs |
| FHSF235 lounge set | rope weave and stone-look top | 10 sets |
Two routes come in under a full container: FHSF235 starts at 10 sets and FHCH073-A1 at 350 pieces. Where an order does not fill a container on its own, mixed loading is quoted instead. A container can be filled with more than one item from the same range, so dining chairs and the matching table can travel together instead of committing to a container of one code.
Lead time
Stock models are produced in about 30 days. Where the frame colour, the cushion fabric or the marking is custom, add around 10 days. A pre-production sample starts its clock when you approve the marking drawing, so the fastest route is approving the drawing and the lab dip together.
Port to port, sailing takes about 18 to 25 days to the US West Coast, 30 to 35 days to the US East Coast and Northern Europe, 18 to 22 days to Jebel Ali and 15 to 20 days to Australia. From March to July, book container space about four weeks ahead. We confirm the production slot when the deposit lands and send photographs of the finished goods before loading.
Frequently asked questions
Can you mark the furniture as well as the umbrellas? Yes, and on the same order. Twenty of our twenty-five furniture models are quoted with custom size, colour and logo, using the same artwork and the same colour reference as a canopy print.
Which surface should carry the mark? If guests should see it, use the cushion facing or the table edge. If it should read as a makers plate, use the inset metal nameplate on the frame. Most projects use one guest-facing position and one nameplate.
How do we match our brand colour on a frame? Send a Pantone or RAL reference. The powder coat and the cushion fabric are both matched to it, with a lab dip swatch for approval, and we keep the approved dip on file for repeat orders.
Can the packaging be branded? Yes. Printed cartons, colour boxes and self-adhesive stickers are available, with reinforced outer cartons for export.
Send your logo files, a colour reference, the pieces you want marked and your target quantity per model, and we return a marking drawing, a container plan and a landed quotation.
