Frames, cushions, slings and how the pieces are built to last outside. This page gathers the most common questions about furniture materials and build into one place.
How is the furniture packaged and assembled?
Furniture ships knock-down in flat cartons with a complete hardware kit and clear instructions, so most pieces need only simple tools to assemble.
Packaging
- KD flat-pack cartons lower freight cost and storage space.
- Each carton includes the hardware kit and assembly guide.
- Fragile parts are cushioned and clearly labelled.
Assembly
- Most chairs and tables assemble with basic Allen keys or spanners.
- Step diagrams are printed and also sent as a PDF on request.
- Pre-assembled options are available for some contract orders.
Furniture packaging and assembly
Furniture ships flat-packed or partially assembled with clear manuals and the fixing kit included. Cartons are labelled by module so on-site assembly is quick. We can also supply pre-assembled units for an added freight cost where labour is tight.
Manuals cover every step; for projects we can review your installer's plan and flag any issue before delivery. Spare fixings are available so a lost bolt never delays a rollout.
Pre-assembled options are available where on-site labour is limited, trading a little freight for a faster, simpler rollout at the destination.

Are the furniture pieces stackable, and what is the weight capacity?
Many of our dining and side chairs are stackable for compact storage, and the build is rated for daily commercial use.
Stacking and storage
- Selected chairs nest or stack to save off-season space.
- Stacking glides protect frames during handling.
- We note which models are stackable in the spec sheet.
Build rating
- Commercial-grade construction suits hotels and restaurants.
- Per-model static weight ratings are confirmed in the spec sheet.
- Heavy-use sites get reinforced frames on request.
Stackable and weight capacity
Many of our chairs and loungers are stackable for compact off-season storage and easy handling, and we publish the per-seat weight rating per model. Stacking grade and capacity are stated on the spec sheet so you can plan commercial use.
Choosing
For cafes and pools where you reconfigure often, stackables save labour and space. Confirm the rated load matches your use, especially for heavy-duty public sites.
For venues that reconfigure daily, stackable models cut setup time and protect stock in storage, a small feature that pays back across a busy season.

What are the cushions and sling fabrics made of?
Cushions
- Open-cell quick-dry foam drains after rain and resists sogginess.
- Solution-dyed acrylic holds colour through long sun exposure.
- Removable covers make cleaning and replacement easy.
Slings and straps
- Textilene slings are breathable, strong, and quick to dry.
- UV-stable yarns resist cracking and colour loss.
- Sling tension is set for daily contract use.

Care
Both are made to be wiped and air-dried. Removable covers speed washing. We keep your fabric colour on file so replacements match the original set.
Quick-dry cushions mean a poolside chair is usable again within minutes of a splash, which guests notice and which keeps your furniture in rotation rather than drying in a corner.

What are your outdoor furniture frames made of?
Our primary frames are powder-coated aluminium with marine-grade stainless fittings for coastal use, and selected lines add teak and woven rope for a natural look.
Frame options
- Powder-coated aluminium is light, rust-resistant, and easy to move.
- 316 stainless fittings are used where salt exposure is highest.
- Teak and woven rope appear on selected lounge and dining lines.
Finishes
- Coatings are selected for UV and corrosion resistance.
- Frame colours are matched to your brand or project palette.
- Touch-up guidance is supplied for long-term care.
Furniture frame materials
Our outdoor furniture frames use powder-coated aluminium, galvanised and powder-coated steel, and weather-resistant wicker over aluminium. Aluminium is light and rust-free for pools; steel adds weight for windy terraces; wicker gives a resort look with an aluminium core.
All finishes are outdoor-rated with pre-treatment so colour and protection hold through seasons. Tell us the setting (pool, sea, rooftop) and we spec the frame that lasts there.
Matching the frame to the setting is the key to longevity; tell us pool, sea, or rooftop and we will specify the alloy and finish that lasts there.
