Which umbrella base should I specify for a hotel poolside or beach club?

For large commercial cantilevers at a poolside or beach club we normally quote the 360 kg welded marble base, FHST060.

It is built as 10 marble slabs of 46 x 46 x 5 cm, roughly 28 kg each and about 280 kg in total, carried in a welded steel frame. The overall footprint is 145 x 120 x 20 cm, and it is available in black or white. It is specified for hotels, resorts, poolside lounges, beach clubs, restaurants and luxury villas.

Two practical notes. At 145 x 120 cm the base sets the spacing of everything around it, so the sun-lounger or table layout is worth fixing before the base is ordered rather than after. And because it is assembled on site from slabs, plan access for the individual pieces rather than the assembled base.

Colour is usually decided by the surroundings: white reads well against pale pool paving, black against light stone or timber decking.
